Lille 3000 was born out of the dynamics of Lille 2004 European Capital of Culture and has since its creation been committed to implementing an internationally renowned artistic and cultural project while taking care to associate all the cultural and associative actors of the region with its events, without forgetting its inhabitants. Its events are a lasting transformation of the Lille metropolis.
From 27 April to 01 December 2019, it is the theme of the Eldorado that will be honored with as main protagonist Mexico. Don’t miss the opening parade of April 27th, perhaps the most significant event, with its program: a cross in the Mexican universe in dance and music with chariots and costumes inspired by the great feasts and popular traditions such as mariachi, bandas, masks and carnival costumes!
Eldorado offers throughout its period a program of festive, friendly, participatory events for a wide audience: parties, carnivals, balls, shows, exhibition, design, cinema, literature, debates, parades, etc. the Tripostal, the Palais des Beaux-Arts at the Gare Saint Sauveur, in the gardens and in many cultural places associated with the metropolis and the region. The program also combines the major museums and contemporary art centre such as the Louvre-Lens, the Frac Grand Large and its Gigantisme.
It is therefore an ideal time to discover the richness of the culture exposed in Lille and to experience many festive events. Don’t hesitate to contact our teams for more information!Program & Information
